1. Where we deliver
Beyond the Cork delivers to addresses accepted through our online checkout or confirmed directly by us.
We offer:
Some offshore, island, remote or restricted postcodes may not be available through standard checkout or may carry an additional charge.
We do not guarantee delivery to PO boxes, unattended parcel lockers or locations where age verification cannot be completed.
2. Local delivery
Free local delivery is available on qualifying orders of six or more bottles within:
BN17, BN18, BN16, BN12, PO22
Any charge for an order below the qualifying quantity will be shown at checkout or agreed before payment.
We may contact the customer to arrange a convenient local delivery date.
3. Courier delivery charges
Courier charges are calculated according to the delivery address, order size and service selected.
The full charge will be shown at checkout or confirmed before the order is accepted.
No additional delivery charge will be added after acceptance without the customer’s agreement.
4. Delivery times
Available delivery options and estimated times will be shown at checkout or in the order confirmation.
We normally aim for gift and standard courier orders to arrive within approximately two to three working days, but this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly stated.
Large orders, wedding orders, personalised gifts, remote addresses and peak periods may take longer.
Where no delivery period has been specifically agreed, we will deliver without undue delay and normally within 30 days, as required for consumer orders.
5. Christmas and peak periods
Customers should order early for Christmas, bank holidays and other busy periods.
Adverse weather, courier disruption and unusually high demand may affect delivery times. We will publish any seasonal order deadlines separately.
6. Age verification
Alcohol may only be delivered to a person aged 18 or over.
We operate an age-verification approach consistent with Challenge 25. A delivery driver may request acceptable photographic proof of age from anyone who appears under 25.
The purchaser must ensure that:
Delivery may be refused where suitable identification is not produced or where the driver reasonably believes that supplying the alcohol would be unlawful or unsafe.
Remote sellers and delivery providers should operate an effective age-verification policy, with proof of age available at delivery where necessary.
7. Safe places and unattended delivery
Because the parcel contains alcohol, we do not normally authorise delivery to an unattended safe place.
Delivery to a neighbour or another nominated person will only be permitted where that person is aged 18 or over and any required age verification has been completed.
8. Gift deliveries
The purchaser is responsible for:
Gift messages may be included where the option is available.
We will take reasonable care with presentation, but couriers may attach necessary delivery labels to the outer transit packaging.
9. Incorrect addresses and failed delivery
Customers should check the delivery details carefully before submitting an order.
Where an order cannot be delivered because:
we may charge the reasonable direct cost of redelivery or return to us.
If the order is returned and cancelled, any refund may be reduced by reasonable delivery and return costs, where legally permitted and clearly attributable to the failed delivery.
10. Delivery confirmation and risk
The products remain at our risk until they are delivered to:
Ownership passes when full payment has been received.
11. Damaged or incomplete delivery
Please report broken, leaking, missing or incorrect products promptly, ideally within 48 hours.
Include photographs of the bottle and packaging where possible.
This reporting request does not affect statutory rights. Our Returns and Refunds Policy explains the remedies available.
12. Delays outside our control
We are not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided we take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and keep the customer informed.
Where a delay is substantial, the customer may contact us to discuss cancellation or an alternative arrangement.
